We’re proud to share that Steven Rogé, Chief Investment Officer and CEO of R.W. Rogé & Company, has joined the board of directors of The Open Door.
The Open Door’s mission is close to Steven’s heart. After years of volunteering with the Cape Ann nonprofit and receiving its Helen Muise Community Service Award in 2019 for his commitment to hunger relief, he looks forward to supporting its work in a new role as a board member.
“No one in our community should have to worry about where their next meal is coming from. The Open Door is doing real, everyday work to change that, and I’ve seen it firsthand through my years of volunteering,” Steven said. “I’m grateful for the chance to serve on the board and help them reach even more families.”
The Open Door connects people across Cape Ann and surrounding communities with good food and works to build lasting food security. That mission is especially pressing as more neighbors seek assistance: the organization reported a 36% increase in requests for food assistance last year.
Steven joins fellow new board member Andrée Robert and incoming board chair Jason Andree. His appointment was recently featured in The Salem News and Gloucester Daily Times in the article “New chair, two new members for The Open Door board of directors.”
