We’re excited to share that our Chief Investment Officer and CEO, Steven M. Rogé, MBA, CFP®, AIF®, has been appointed as an Adjunct Clinical Instructor at the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine (NYITCOM).
Starting April 1, 2025, and continuing through March 31, 2026, Steven will serve as a preceptor, or a mentor in clinical education, offering medical students a unique and practical education in financial wellness, a topic often missing from traditional medical training.
“As future physicians navigate a demanding and rewarding profession, financial clarity can be one of the most empowering tools they carry with them,” Steven shared.
The course curriculum covers essentials like budgeting, student loan repayment strategies, understanding credit, managing risk with insurance, and long-term investing. Just as importantly, Steven will help students understand how to align their financial decisions with their personal values and life goals.
“Financial stress is a significant concern among healthcare professionals, contributing to physician burnout and affecting their overall quality of life,” Steven said. “This financial pressure extends beyond personal well-being, often negatively impacting things like job satisfaction, productivity, and retention. Supporting financial wellness is a vital step toward reducing physician burnout and fostering a more resilient, sustainable healthcare workforce.”
The goal is to give students a strong foundation by equipping them with essential knowledge and strategies so they can focus on what they do best: caring for others.
