We are proud to share that our Chief Investment Officer and CEO, Steven Rogé, was recently featured in Investopedia in an article by financial journalist Beverly Bird titled, “They Know It’s Risky. They’re Doing It Anyway: Inside Gen Z’s Crypto Habit.”
The piece explores why nearly half of Gen Z investors are trading cryptocurrency, despite widespread acknowledgment of its volatility and lack of regulation. Gen Z has grown up with digital wallets, gaming economies, and online communities, making crypto feel intuitive and appealing. Social media further magnifies this interest, even though many acknowledge the risks involved.
Steven explained that while crypto can be part of a portfolio, it should be approached with caution and moderation:
“Treat crypto like dessert. Set the table with savings and index funds, then keep the portion size modest.”
We’re honored to have Steven’s perspective featured in Investopedia and grateful to journalist Beverly Bird for including his insights in such a timely piece on how younger generations are approaching investing.
